Community is a cozy, neighborhood restaurant with a very personal East Side atmosphere, located in the hip and upcoming area of Los Feliz, Los Angeles.
The collaboration with the owner started for the launch of a Pinot Noire, a dense, elegant and age-worthy red wine. The product had to combine elegance and quality in a fresh and hip area. The research landed in an area where I am comfortable with: Illustration mixed with design. The image is surreal and evocative. The element of the cloud can be used as a pattern to create a system used in packaging and marketing collaterals.
The project evolved in producing several original pieces in the same illustration style for the space to make it feel part of a brother story.
The space looks and feels like someone’s cozy dining room – a place where one can enjoy the comforts of visiting a friend’s home.
The dining room embodies a charming Brooklyn-esque charm, with about 25 communal seats. Community is a dedication to belonging and being part of the neighborhood you live in – to creating a place where we’d like to enjoy with friends.
